Mental toughness is a measure of individual resilience and confidence that may predict success in sport, education and the workplace (*). In addition to being confident and resilient, mentally tough performers share the passion, resolve and fearlessness to work tirelessly in the face of obstacles, showing the grit and tenacity of someone who perseveres through the achievement of success oriented goals. With all consuming self-belief and the determination to succeed against all odds, the mentally tough individual is someone who is focussed on the process rather than the results, understands the need to grind things out, with the work-ethic and character of a champion!
