Individual Sessions:

Individual sessions are designed to help the athlete (coach or parent) recognize the psychological and/or emotional issues creating mental blocks that undermine the athlete's ability to perform as they are accustomed to performing. Com-mon topics of treatment include; confidence, performance anxiety, self-doubt, work-ethic, passion, motivation, goal-setting, relaxation, imagery, failure and more.

Coach or Parent Sessions:

Mental training sessions should include the athlete's coaches and parents. Coaches are responsible for such things as team cohesion, motivation and guidance as the team focusses on a championship oriented mindset. Parents are the advocates at home and can instill an athlete with confidence, self-esteem, work ethic and motivation to reach the highest levels of success while helping to create a winning mindset.

Group or Team Sessions:

The basic premise of group or team sessions is to create team cohesion so that the vision for the team is shared by all. Group or team meetings help create a united mindset that addresses skills, team dynamics, success-oriented strategies, commu-nication, leadership, trust, values, commitment, mental toughness, the recognition of team roles, and other factors related to the practice and competitive environments.

Observations are a data collection method used in research as well as to gain an understanding of someone's activities in their natural environment. The observer watches a participant (or group of participants) without any awareness of the observer and records any relevant behavior for later analysis.

Assessments can provide useful information about an athlete’s mental skills, communication style, sport learning preferences, competitive nature, personal motivators, leadership characteristics, personality, and level of confidence. They can be administered to individuals or teams with results used to develop a plan to achieve success.
